Cry Havoc and Let Slip the Leakers

I have my own personal opinion on leaking information. If a person leaks classified info that endangers the well-being of anyone or hinders the democracy of the United States,
then the leaking is a very bad thing but if such leaking reveals to the public actual or possible criminal activity of a sitting political figure and/or enemy of the United States then such leaking is a patriotic action.

I am not condoning leaking; Leaking in general is wrong. I am simply saying there are two types of leaking. One endangers the well-being of our democracy and could endanger lives; the other reveals to the public information that is helpful in determining the truth of current events. For example: The recent contractor who released information showing how deep Russian interference went in the 2016 Presidential Election was vital because it further lifted the cloud of doubt and illustrated the weakness of our virtual security systems.

In conclusion, we are living in perilous times; corruption and cover ups at the highest levels are present and leaking though wrong in general is perhaps a necessary thing to combat the corporate and political evil of our times!
